Frequently Asked Questions on Weight Classes & Qualifying
1) How are the qualifying totals done for the new women's weight classes?
Beginning January 1, 2021, the 72kg will be eliminated and will now include a 69kg and 76kg weight class.

Lifters who achieve the 63kg QT can lift in the 63kg class go up to 69kg

Lifters who achieve the 72kg QT can go down to 69kg or up to 76kg

Lifters who achieve the 84kg QT can lift in the 84kg class or could go down to 76kg class

2) Can I change weight class?

All weight-class changes must be declared using the no later than 14-days prior to the start of the meet. (March 25, 2021). See below under "Changing Your Weight Class" to do this online.

If you are moving up a weight class, your qualifying total in the lower class must be equal to or greater than the qualifying total of the higher weight class.

If you wish to go down in weight class you will need to RE-QUALIFY in your new weight class by the 14-day weight-class change deadline. (March 25, 2021)

3) Can I use an equipped Qualifying Total to enter the raw division?

If entering the Raw division, qualifying totals must be achieved raw.
4) Where can I qualify?

Due to a lack of meets in 2020, any USA Powerlifting meet after 1/1/2019 can be used for qualifying.

Qualifying totals must be achieved before the entry deadline. (March 10, 2021)
